Jason Gerstein is the founder of LGA Capital and has worked extensively in both the structured commercial real estate finance and private equity capital raise/syndication industries for nearly 20 years. He leverages his expertise in these complimentary sectors of the financial industry to deliver a better product not only to his clients seeking to raise capital but also to potential investors seeking to make their investments based on thorough and objective analysis.
Since 1999, Jason has been a leader and integral member of the capital markets teams for a number of high profile development firms in the greater Washington, D.C. Baltimore Metropolitan Area. Jason has directed the financing efforts for commercial real estate assets throughout the East Coast across all phases of acquisition and development. He has also successfully raised hundreds of millions in private equity across a number of industries.
Jason’s specific areas of expertise include transactional design facilitating more efficient debt and equity financings of complex investments. Jason has successfully structured and closed on debt and equity well in excess of $1 billion. With respect to complex structured real estate finance, Jason has utilized his development expertise in the transactional design and approval of a wide range of real estate investments throughout the United States.
Jason is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance from The Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington, D.C., and a Masters of Law (LLM) in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. Jason is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and is a member of the United States Tax Court.
Jason additionally holds his Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 24 (General Securities Principal), 63 (Uniform Agent State Law) and 79 (Investment Banking Representative) securities licenses.
Jason lives in Potomac with his wife Sharon and four children.
